Check variants before you paste them into a campaign

Put each headline on a separate line, enter the budget you need, and turn on the per-line view. Compare the lines individually: the total for the whole draft also includes the line breaks. Edit an over-budget line, then check it in the destination platform before publishing.

These counts use the same function as the tool above. In the displayed inputs, ↵ represents one line break and ⇥ represents one tab; those symbols are labels, not extra characters in the input.

Why another counter may disagree

This tool counts visible character groups. The family emoji is one group even though it contains several Unicode characters. The accented e in the last example is also one group. A platform that counts code points, bytes or UTF-16 units can give a different result. Our counter cannot certify that a field will accept your text.

“Without spaces” removes ordinary spaces only. “Without whitespace” also removes tabs and line breaks. Windows-style line endings are normalized to one line break for counting. None of this changes your draft.

Keep the limit you actually need

A character budget is a limit you supply, not a recommended length. Check the destination’s current rules, especially for emoji, non-Latin text and links. For a search listing, use the preview to inspect the wording; character count alone does not predict where a search engine will cut it off.
