Commercial policy

Support can fund the work. It cannot purchase the answer.

Sponsorship, affiliate relationships, and promotional work occupy a labeled commercial zone separate from independent editorial findings.

Plain labels appear before the click

Paid placements use labels readers can understand immediately, such as “Sponsored” or “Affiliate link.” The sponsor or compensated relationship is named where readers first encounter it and again on the destination page when relevant; a policy page does not replace the page-level disclosure.

Research independence

A sponsor may define a business question and review factual descriptions of its product. It may not choose respondents to engineer an outcome, receive identities or raw answer files, remove valid unfavorable results, or approve the final independent conclusion.

Inventory boundaries

Paid promotional material will not outweigh publisher-created material on a monetized screen. Advertising, if enabled later, will be limited to eligible, substantive pages. Survey participation and behavioral pages remain ad-free.

Tracking and data

No sponsor pixel, audience match, lead form, or behavioral tracker is active. Any future implementation requires a new privacy review and an accurate public notice before activation.

Early revenue format

The preferred early format is a clearly labeled fixed-fee sponsorship supporting a methodology resource or research release. Payment supports publication access; it does not guarantee favorable coverage, a traffic number, or access to respondents.
